Star Sword Club is a Cardiff based fencing club that operates on Thursday nights at the Star Sports Centre. We provide a friendly and safe environment in which people can practice the art and sport of fencing. We provide equipment for beginners and electrical scoring apparatus for more experienced fencers. Both class and individual lessons are available in Foil and Epée.

Senior Membership Fees
Monthly: £13 (consessions £9)
Annual: £140 (consessions £100)

Senior Visitor Fees

Visitor Training (2 hour session): £4 (consessions £3)
Visitor Equipment Hire: 50p

Junior Fees
Junior Session: £6 per month

Beginners’ Course:
6 Week Beginners' Course: Adult - £42 (consessions £32)

6 Week Junior Beginners' Course: £15

 

To qualify for the consessionary rates you must be:

• Under 16 years of age
• In full time education
• Receiving a pension
• An active officer of Star Sword Club

DIRECTIONS:

Coming from the West:

Travel east along the M4 to Junction 32, come off on the A470 towards Cardiff. Continue until you reach the A469 slip road onto Gabalfa roundabout. Take your first exit onto the A48 heading east. Come off at the next Junction and take you third exit (right) onto the A4161. Take the first slip road and turn right (2nd exit) at the roundabout onto Newport Road (A4161). Passing the retail complex, come off Newport Road onto Broadway (left). Turn off Broadway left onto Cecil Street. Take your first right onto Diamond Street and take your first left onto Agate street. At the roundabout turn left/straight onto Splott Road. The Star Centre is on your right. Take the first right turn for parking on your left, just behind the centre.

 

Coming from the East:

Travel west along the M4, take the slip road onto the A48M marked Cardiff, about a mile after junction 28. Exit at the third Junction (signposted Cardiff Docks) and at the roundabout take the designated lane left onto the A4161. Take the first slip road and turn right (2nd exit) at the roundabout onto Newport Road (A4161). Passing the retail complex, come off Newport Road onto Broadway (left). Turn off Broadway left onto Cecil Street. Take your first right onto Diamond Street and take your first left onto Agate street. At the roundabout turn left/straight onto Splott Road.
