kTestimonial from one of our young members:

Joseph: 'I started fencing because I like swords and because of the film Pirates of the Caribbean.  At fencing we all start with a warm up and foot work, then we split into groups.  I have just finished the beginners course, so now I duel with other people in the group.  I enjoy fencing because the people are really friendly, especially Peter and Hayley.  My ambition with fencing is to represent Wales in the Olympics games.'

DRAGON-AWARDS

These awards are designed to help children progress in the sport, whilst providing a method of assessing their readiness for metal weapons. There are three Dragon-award levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Once a child achieves their Gold Award they are permitted to train with metal weapons in full protective equipment.

Award Assessments will be held at regular intervals and participants will be informed on an individual basis whether they're ready to take the test. Course fee is five pounds which is payable at the beginning of the course. This fee includes Dragons Polo Shirt, a course handbook, assessment and award. Successful applicants will recieve a certificate and badge upon completion of the course.

Details of the syllabuses for each level can be found on the links below:
